Built in 1900 on the sands of Sa Riera, Sa Brava is one of the few original fishermen's houses that still stands facing the Mediterranean. The house has been carefully restored to preserve its original character while embracing contemporary comfort.
Wake up to the sound of the waves. Walk barefoot to the water. Watch the sunset from your bedroom. Everything else can wait.
Natural stone, limewashed walls and handcrafted wood reflect the architectural heritage of the Costa Brava. Originally built as a simple fishermen’s house, the home has been carefully adapted for contemporary living while preserving its original character, including its original two-level layout, connected only by an exterior staircase.
The ground floor brings together the kitchen, dining and living areas in an open space connected to the Mediterranean views, while the upper floor offers a private bedroom, lounge and terrace. One of the few original seafront fishermen’s houses still standing, it remains closely connected to the rhythm of the sea.
A Timeless Piece of the Costa Brava
The fishermen’s houses of Sa Riera originated as simple stone “botigues” built beside the beach to shelter boats, store nets and fishing gear, and provide basic refuge for local fishermen. They remain an important reminder of the cove’s traditional maritime heritage.
